Withdrawals from your EPF account are not permitted until your UAN is verified and linked to your Aadhaar number. The EPFO has enabled all Indian employees to manage their PF accounts online. They can connect their UAN to their Aadhaar card by visiting the EPFO website. Here is how to link your aadhaar with your UAN Number.

Benefits of Linking Aadhaar with UAN When your Aadhaar is linked to your UAN, the chances of data errors and discrepancies are reduced because your information remains consistent with your Aadhaar card information. By linking Aadhaar to a UAN number, the possibility of having a duplicate account is reduced. You will be able to withdraw your PF online without the need for your employer’s signature. The entire procedure can be completed online without difficulty.

How to link your UAN with Aadhar

Step 1: Go to https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/ to access the Member Sewa portal.

Step 2: Under the ‘Manage’ tab, select the ‘KYC’ option. Step 3: To add a KYC document, select the ‘Aadhaar’ option. Step 4: Your name will appear on the screen exactly as it appears on your Aadhaar card. It will be necessary to enter the Aadhaar number. To link UAN with Aadhaar, you must provide permission for Aadhaar-based authentication. Step 5: From the drop-down menu, select ‘Save’. Once saved, it will appear under ‘pending KYC’. Your employer must grant permission for your UAN to be linked to Aadhaar. The linking process must first be accepted by your employer and then by the EPFO to be completed.

How to check if the UAN is linked to Aadhaar?

Step: 1 Visit the member sewa portal at https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.

Step 2: To login, enter your UAN and password.

Step 3: After successfully logging in, go to the ‘Manage’ tab and select the ‘KYC’ option.

Your UAN is linked with Aadhaar if your Aadhaar number is displayed and accepted on the screen under the verified documents page.

If your Aadhaar number does not appear under the verified documents tab, you must link your UAN to your Aadhaar.

How to link Your UAN with Aadhaar Offline?

Step 1: Get the “Aadhaar Seeding” application form from the EPFO office.

Step 2: Enter your UAN, Aadhaar, and other information.

Step 3: Include self-attested copies of your UAN, PAN, and Aadhaar with the form.

Step 4: Return the form to any EPFO office or Common Service Centre.

Step 5: After successful verification, your EPF-Aadhaar link will be confirmed.

Step 6: Finally, a successful linking message will be sent to your registered mobile number.

How to link an Aadhaar card with UAN without Password?

Go to the EPFO website and select “eKYC Portal” from the “Online Services” section.

Select “Link UAN Aadhaar”, enter your UAN and mobile number, and then click “Generate OTP”.

Enter the OTP received and then, enter your Aadhaar number in the designated space and click on “Submit”.

You will once again receive an OTP on your Aadhaar-registered mobile number. Enter the and Tap on the “Submit” button.

If the information in your EPF account matches the information in your Aadhaar, your Aadhaar will be successfully seeded with your UAN.
